Corrina Obernesser (Westminster, Colo.) led the Penmen with a sixth-place finish and SNHU finished sixth in its race at the Paul Short Run Saturday in Bethlehem, Pa.
TOP PERFORMANCES
- Obernesser was sixth of 245 runners in the "Green Race" with a time for the 6k of 22:51.3.
- Sophomore Deirdre Bailat (North Billerica, Mass.) came in at 23:51.1 in 30th place.
- Sophomore Aveline McCabe (White Bear Lake, Minn.) also figured in the team scoring at 24:36.0
- Freshman Kelsey Maine (Campton, N.H.) was next at 24:39.4 on her first try at the distance.
- Freshman Erika Wojcik (North Andover, Mass.) had a 24:50.3 in what was also her first try at 6k.
NOTES
- The 50th Paul Short Run was split into four divisions. SNHU competed in the "Green Race." 22 teams took part in the race with 203 runners.
- The race was won by Sonoma State (Calif.).
- SNHU competed at the Paul Short for the first time since the 2021 season.
- Also racing for the Penmen were junior Em Charest (Methuen, Mass.) in 25:50.7, junior Jia Anderson-Salo (Alstead, N.H.) in 26:34.0, and freshman Ari Hettrick-Rivera (East Hampton, Conn.) in 27:26.6.

- The Penmen will compete in the Bruce Kirsh Run at the Hopkinton, N.H. Fairgrounds on Friday, Oct. 11. The Northeast-10 Championships at the Fairgrounds on October 27.
