Obernesser Ends Season With National Championship Run

Women's Cross Country Championship Held In Sacramento, Calif. Saturday

Junior Corrina Obernesser (Westminster, Colo.) competed at the NCAA Division II National Championships Saturday for the third consecutive season.  She completed the 6k in muddy conditions in 23:56.9, finishing 229th

NOTES
  • Obernesser qualified for Nationals by finishing in 3rd place at the East Region Championships two weeks ago.
  • She averaged a 6:25.4 mile.
  • Adams State won the women's team championship while Lauren Kiley of Grand Valley State was the race winner in 20:28.5.
  • 259 runners competed in the race.
