Paige McInerney (Acton, Mass.) earned All-Region status and SNHU women's cross country finished ninth at Saturday's NCAA Division II East Region Championships in Rochester, N.Y.
TOP PERFORMANCES
- Obernesser's time for the 6k was 22:05.6, a new PR, and good for third place.
- McInerney finished up in 22:52.0 to finish 24th, a new PR
- Sophomore Deirdre Bailat (North Billerica, Mass.) ran a new PR of 23:05 while finishing 29th.
- Also scoring for the Penmen:
- Freshman Ari Hettrick- Rivera (East Hampton, Conn.) – 25:02.0 (new PR) – 77th
- Junior Em Charest (Methuen, Mass.) – 25:05.5 (new PR) – 79th
NOTES
- Host Roberts Wesleyan won with a team score of 71 points with Southern Connecticut State (107) and Daemen (118) in the top three.
- Northeast-10 members Bentley (125) and Saint Anselm (201) finished ahead of the Penmen in fourth and seventh place.
- The individual winner was Caitlin Burmester of Bentley in 21:52.9.
- Obernesser's time ranks as the 13th fastest in program history.

- The NCAA Division II National Championships will be run on the Arcade Creek Cross Country Course in Sacramento, California on November 23.
- The field, including individual qualifiers, will be announced by 3 p.m. ET on Sunday. By finishing third, and not a qualifying team, Corrina Obernesser will earn an invitation to the Championship field.
