MANSFIELD, Mass. – The Southern New Hampshire University Women's Indoor Track & Field team was chosen second of nine schools in the NE10 Coaches' Poll released on Wednesday. The Penmen received one first-place vote and were picked second to defending NE10 Champ Southern Connecticut State University.
Southern Connecticut received seven of the nine first-place votes and Saint Anselm College received the other top vote (coaches could not vote for their own team). The Owls received a total of 71 points, SNHU had 61, and the University of New Haven (52), Adelphi University (49), and Saint Anselm (40) completed the top-five.
The Indoor portion of the schedule starts on Sunday with SNHU participating at the Joe Donahue Games, hosted by Northeastern University at the Track at New Balance in Boston. The Penmen will also head to the University of Southern Maine for the USM Alumni Open on December 14 before taking a four-week break.
The 2024-25 Northeast-10 Indoor Track & Field Championships will again be contested at the Track at New Balance in Boston on February 22-23. The Penmen finished third at last year's Championship with now graduate student
Laila Bunnitt (Lewiston, Maine) being named the Field Athlete of the Meet.
