MANSFIELD, Mass. – SNHU freshman Charlotte Donovan (Biddeford, Maine) has been named NE10 Rookie of the Week. The award, announced on Monday afternoon, covers games played through March 3.
The Penmen opened the season this past Saturday at The Spring Games in Florida. Donovan has worked twice in relief in the circle, pitching a total of five innings, allowing two earned runs, with five strikeouts.
SNHU will be back in action on Tuesday with games against Ashland University (9 a.m.) and Upper Iowa University (11:15 a.m.) in Winter Haven.
The first scheduled games on the SNHU softball field are against Mercy University on March 23 (Noon).
