SNHU hosted its second event of the outdoor season, the 5
th Annual Penmen Relays on Saturday at Ouellette Stadium. Several top efforts were recorded including a win by sophomore
Corrina Obernesser (Westminster, Col.) in the Steeplechase.
TOP PERFORMANCES
- Obernesser also won the 3000m Steeplechase at the SNHU Spring Invitational two weeks ago. She lowered her season mark by more than six seconds.
- SNHU senior Kaitlyn O'Rourke (Braintree, Mass.) and senior Riley McDermott (Kennebunkport, Maine) finished second and third in the Steeplechase.
- The Penmen won the 4x200 relay today, setting the program record for the event. Sophomore Hope Sinclair (Hampton, N.H.), senior Ava Gravell (Windham, N.H.), graduate student Anne Sikkema (Leeuwarden, Netherlands), sophomore Maggie McInerney (Acton, Mass.) combined for a 1:46.47.
- SNHU also finished second in the event with senior Emma Hallet (Billerica, Mass.), junior Tori Allen (Litchfield, N.H.), senior Hannah Bradbury (Seekonk, Mass.), and freshman Madison Lyons (Manchester, Conn.).
- The Penmen ran third in the 4x100 relay with Sinclair, McInerney, Gravel, and Sikkema.
- Gravel, one of ten athletes honored before the meet on Senior Day, also finished third in the 400m (58.17). She holds the program outdoor mark at both 100m and 400m.
- Other seniors honored were Tori Limone (Stoneham, Mass.), Laila Bunnitt (Lewiston, Maine), Theresa Irving (Penacook, N.H.), and Kelsey Seamans (Metheun Mass.). Also honored were Bradbury, Hallet, O'Rourke, McDermott, and Sikkema.
- Bunnitt turned in a second-place finish in the shot put (11.65m) and a third-place finish in the discus (36.09m). Her third-place 43.14 m in the hammer throw was a new personal best.

WHAT'S NEXT
- The next meet for the Penmen will be next Saturday, April 20 – the George Davis Invitational at UMass-Lowell.
- The Northeast-10 Championships are at Southern Connecticut May 3-4.
