Allen, Gravell Score for Penmen at NEICAAA Championships Saturday

Junior Tori Allen (Litchfield, N.H.) finished fourth in the heptathlon and Senior Ava Gravell (Windham, N.H.) finished fifth in the 400m as the NEICAAA Track & Field Championships concluded Saturday in Worcester, Mass.

NOTES
  • Allen ran a new personal best in the 800m (2:36.94), the final event in the heptathlon to finish with 4160 points.
  • Gravell finished the 400m in 57.14, improving from the 57.97 she ran in Friday's qualifier.
  • Sophomore Corrina Obernesser (Westminster, Colo.) finished in 11:56.57 in the 3000 Steeplechase, finishing 15th overall.
  • Senior Laila Bunnitt (Lewiston, Maine) also was invited to the NEICAAA, competing in the shot put on Saturday. 
  • The Southern Connecticut State men and the Bryant University women were crowned champs at the meet, held this year at Holy Cross.
