DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -  SNHU Cheer is scheduled to compete today (Thu. April 10) at the NCA Championships in Daytona Beach.   The Penmen are scheduled to perform at 4:40 p.m.

We officially kicked off our first day in Daytona with focus, energy, and heart!  After a long day of travel yesterday (Wednesday), we started this morning with a team practice at the hotel. The team locked in right away, shaking off any travel fatigue and dialing into what we came here to do.

By early afternoon, we were on our way to the venue. We got registered, picked up our toe tags (always a favorite moment!), and headed straight into the action. First up: grass practice. Surrounded by hundreds of teams from across the country, our athletes rose to the occasion with incredible focus and determination. We were beyond impressed with how they handled themselves — calm, confident, and completely locked in.

Next stop was official inside practice… and the team HIT! 

After practice, we circled back to the grass for some extra stunting time and finished up with a walk-through at the iconic bandshell. The team got a feel for what's to come.

We closed out the day with a great team dinner, laughs, and some material review — exactly what we needed before taking on Day 1 of competition.

We're so proud of the work these athletes have put in, and we can't wait to hit the mat!

Jace "My favorite part of the competition is getting to hang out with all of my teammates and watch all the rookies have their first experience in Daytona along with taking the mat with my teammate cause they're my family".

Victoria" My favorite part of the trip is getting closer with teammates and coaches". 

Laura: "My favorite part of NCA Nationals is really bonding with the team and getting super close throughout it because we really come together as a family."
