Freshman
Hannah Sippel (Chester, N.H.) set two new personal marks in the 100m and 200m, and several other members of SNHU Track & Field also recorded new bests at Thursday's Merrimack College Alumni Carnival.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Sippel recorded a fourth-place finish in the 100m (12.43) and a third in the 200m (25.52) - both times were wind aided, but were personal bests.
- Graduate student Laila Bunnitt (Lewiston, Maine) set a new PR while winning the shot put (13.61m). She also won the discus (40.80m) and finished second in the hammer throw (46.69m).
- Sophomore Kayla Franks (Derry, N.H.) was second in the javelin (37.59) and set a new PR in the discus (28.19m).
- Junior Hope Sinclair (Hampton, N.H.) ran 4th in the 400m, with a new PR of 1:01.67.
- Sophomore Angela Mateos (Seville, Spain) set a new mark with her long jump of 4.72m - she finished ninth in the event.
NOTES
- Four schools competed at the meet with host Merrimack (185.50), Stonehill (180), Saint Anselm (140), and SNHU (103.5).
WHAT'S NEXT
- SNHU will compete at UMass Lowell's George Davis Invitational on Saturday (April 19)
- The Northeast-10 Outdoor Track & Field Championship will be hosted by SNHU at Ouellette Stadium on May 2-3, 2025.
