Kayla Franks (Derry, N.H.) earned her first career win in the javelin, and graduate student
Laila Bunnitt (Lewiston, Maine) finished second in the shot put as Southern New Hampshire University Track & Field competed Friday at Central Connecticut State. It was the final competition before next weekend's Northeast-10 Championships at SNHU.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Bunnitt's shot put effort was 13.39m
- Franks had a throw of 36.98 in the javelin.
- Senior Morgan Cooledge (Westbrook, Maine) finished 4th in the javelin at 32.18m
- Sophomore Angela Mateos (Seville, Spain) matched a season-best at 1.50m, finishing fourth in the high jump.
- Sophomore Madison Lyons (Mansfield, Conn.) was fifth in the high jump at 1.40m, a season-best effort.
NOTES
- Junior Corrina Obernesser (Westminster, Colo.) and freshman Erika Wojcik (North Andover, Mass.) competed in the 400 hurdles for the first time, finishing fifth and sixth.
- Sophomore Kay Wheelock (Milford, Mass.) finished seventh in the 400 hurcles.
- Freshman Paige McInerney (Acton, Mass.) ran the 3000m race, finishing sixth in the 11:31.21.
- Central Connecticut had the highest team score on Friday (190 points), edging out Quinnipiac (186 points)

- The Northeast-10 Outdoor Track & Field Championship will be hosted by SNHU at Ouellette Stadium on May 2-3, 2025.
