SNHU Women's Track & Field competed on Saturday at the University of New Hampshire.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Junior Corrina Obernesser (Westminster, Colo.) finished fourth in the 1500m with a new PR for the distance of 4:50.68, the third-best time turned in by an NE10 runner this season
- Sophomore Kayla Franks (Derry, N.H.) finished third in the javelin (35.05m) while also competing in the shot put.
- Freshman Hannah Sippel (Chester, N.H) was third in the 100m at 13.04 with a strong headwind.
- Sophomore Kora Hay (Coventry, R.I.) started her season with a 19:25.61 run in the 5000m.
- Sophomore Angela Mateos (Seville, Spain) notched a new personal best for the long jump (4.47m) while also competing in the high jump and the 4x400.
- Freshman Erika Wojcik (North Andover, Mass.) turned in a 4:53.40 in her first 1500m.
- Freshman Paige McInerney (Acton, Mass.) also ran the 1500m for the first time and recorded a 5:01.83
- Freshman Paige Zimmerman (Bedford, N.H.) ran a new PR for the 200m at 28.08.
NOTES
- UNH won it's home meet with Maine, and Vermont finishing second and third place.
- Graduate student Laila Bunnitt (Lewiston, Maine) had a pair of seventh-place finishes in the shot put and hammer throw.
- Junior Brooke Bibbo (Burlington, Mass.) returned to competition for the first time in nearly three months with a season-best in the shot put.
WHAT'S NEXT
- SNHU will host the Ed Daniels Invitational next Saturday, April 12.
- The Northeast-10 Outdoor Track & Field Championship will be hosted by SNHU at Ouellette Stadium on May 2-3, 2025.
