LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Senior Jordyn Resetar (Hanover, Pa.) of the Southern New Hampshire University softball team was named Second-Team All-Region by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA), as the organization announced its Division II All-Region teams Thursday. Resetar was selected as the Second-Team DP or Utility/Non-Pitcher.
The awards honor softball student-athletes from the Association's eight regions with First- and Second-Team selections. NFCA member coaches from each respective region voted on the teams, and all the honorees now become eligible for selection to the 2024 NFCA Division II All-America squads.
Resetar has had a career-best season for the Penmen, recently named Northeast-10 First-Team All-Conference. Her .364 average (through May 7) is tops on the team. She also has recorded a team-high 24 extra-base hits including 19 doubles, a triple, and four home runs. She has also driven in 21 runs despite being the team's regular lead-off hitter.
SNHU is competing in the NCAA Division II Softball Championship in Wilmington, Delaware and will look to stay alive on Friday after dropping a 4-2 decision to Wilmington today.
