The Southern New Hampshire University women's volleyball team opened the Denton Volleyfest with a pair of three-set losses to University of Texas at Tyler and Arkansas Tech University at Texas Woman's University's Kitty Magee Arena.

NOTES
  • This was the first time SNHU had met either of the two programs.
WHAT'S NEXT
  • The Penmen wrap up the Denton Volleyfest on Saturday (Sept. 13) when they take on the University of Arkansas at Monticello (3 p.m.) and Texas Woman's University (8 p.m.).
  • SNHU is back home Tuesday, Sept. 23 (6 p.m.) when it plays host to Assumption at the Field House.
