Herrmann Claims Second Straight NE10 Player of the Week Award

Senior added two more goals in a 1-0-1 week

NO. ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Senior Philipp Herrmann (Bruckmuehl, Germany) of the sixth-ranked Southern New Hampshire University men's soccer team was chosen as the NE10 Player of the Week for the period ending Sept. 14, the league office announced Monday.

Herrmann, who also took home the award last week, scored a pair of goals in a 1-0-1 week for the Penmen. Herrmann started the scoring in the 25th minute of a 1-1 tie with Post University on Wednesday and broke the ice again with a 74th-minute strike in Saturday's 3-0 victory over Queens (N.Y.) College.

Herrmann leads the nation in game-winning goals (2), while ranking second in goals (5) and fourth in points (10). He paces the NE10 in all three categories.

Herrmann and the Penmen are back in action Wednesday, Sept. 17 (6 p.m.) when they play host to the University of Bridgeport at Ouellette Stadium.
