Senior Alexandra Friebolin (Plant City, Fla.) tallied six kills on .385 hitting, but the Southern New Hampshire University women's volleyball team suffered a close, 3-0 defeat against crosstown-rival Saint Anselm College on Wednesday evening at Stoutenburgh Gymnasium.

KEY MOMENT
  • SNHU was ahead in the second set, 22-21, looking to pull even in the match, but Saint Anselm reeled off four of the next five points, including a set-ending ace, to take a commanding 2-0 lead.
NOTES
  • SNHU leads the all-time series with Saint Anselm, 33-30, but see its three-match winning streak halted. The Penmen had also won two straight at Saint Anselm, losing there for the first time since Oct. 18, 2022 (3-1).
  • Freshman Sophie Chevalier (Charlton, N.Y.) posted seven kills and six digs.
  • Sophomore Jordyn Carroll (Moultonborough, N.H.) added six kills.
