Sophomore Ariana Davila (Austin, Texas) recorded a double-double of 23 assists and 10 digs, but the Southern New Hampshire University women's volleyball team lost in three straight sets to Saint Michael's College on Saturday afternoon at the Stan Spirou Field House.
KEY MOMENTS
- Saint Michael's led, 20-13, in the third set when SNHU reeled off a 10-3 run – led by a pair of Chevalier kills – to even the frame at 23-all. SMC came back with a pair of kills from Nora Schulze to end the match, however.
NOTES
- SNHU leads the all-time series with the Purple Knights, 32-12. The Penmen have captured 16 of 18, including 10 of the last 12. The Penmen also see their home winning streak over Saint Michael's halted at 16, losing in the Field House for the first time since Oct. 27, 2000. SNHU had also been victorious in 26 of the last 28 sets at home versus SMC.
- Freshman Sophie Chevalier (Charlton, N.Y.) submitted a team-high 11 kills and seven digs.
- Sophomore Jordyn Carroll (Moultonborough, N.H.) registered seven kills and three digs.
- Senior Brooke Vaughan (Truckee, Calif.) and graduate student Meri Ibrahimi (Woburn, Mass.) collected eight and seven digs, respectively.

- The Penmen are back in action Tuesday, Sept. 30 (7 p.m.) when they take on in-state rival Franklin Pierce University.
