The Southern New Hampshire University women's volleyball team dropped a four-set decision at Franklin Pierce University on Tuesday evening in non-conference play.
KEY MOMENTS
- After dropping the opening set, 25-17, the Penmen responded in the second with a 25-15 win, fueled by five service aces and four blocks.
- SNHU battled in a back-and-forth third frame that featured 11 ties, but Franklin Pierce edged out a 25-21 victory to reclaim the lead.
- The Ravens sealed the match with a 25-17 win in the fourth set.
NOTES
- Freshman Sophie Chevalier (Charlton, N.Y.) posted a team-high 13 kills and added 10 digs for her second double-double of the season.
- Sophomore Ariana Davila (Austin, Texas) handed out 24 assists and chipped in two kills and a block.
- Graduate student Meri Ibrahimi (Woburn, Mass.) anchored the defense with a team-high 17 digs.
- Senior Alexandra Friebolin (Plant City, Fla.) registered two service aces and contributed at the net with a pair of blocks.
- Senior Brooke Vaughan (Truckee, Calif.) added four digs and a service ace from the back row.
- Franklin Pierce finished with 42 kills and 16 service aces, compared to 28 kills and 12 aces for SNHU.
- SNHU's lead in the all-time series is trimmed to 31-30.

- The Penmen continue their road swing with a non-conference contest at Bentley University on Saturday, October 4 (1:00 p.m.).
