NO. ATTLEBORO, Mass. – SNHU juniors Julianna Colbert (Burrillville, R.I.) and Kaysie DeMoura (Taunton, Mass.) have been named the Northeast 10 Softball Pitcher and Player of the Week, respectively, on Monday.
Colbert earned three wins in the circle during the opening trip to Melbourne, Fla. On Saturday, in a 6-3 win over West Chester University, Colbert went nine innings and recorded 15 strikeouts, the most in a game by an SNHU pitcher since 2014.
DeMoura recorded 18 hits in 12 games and leads the team with a .439 batting average and a .489 on-base percentage. This is her first Northeast 10 Player of the Week award.
The Penmen (7-5) open Northeast 10 play at Southern Connecticut State University next Friday, March 20. The first home games at the SNHU Softball Field are scheduled for Monday, March 23, against Molloy University.
