Freshman Gavin Richardson (Concord, N.H.) turned in an even-par 72 in the final round of the Penmen Season Finale on Saturday, as the Southern New Hampshire University men's golf team placed fifth at Beaver Meadow Golf Course.
INDIVIDUAL PERFORMERS
- Richardson's 72 was one shot worse than his 71 from the opening round, as he tied for 10th with a 1-under 143.
- Sophomore Charlie Blake (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) matched Friday's 73 and tied for 20th with a 2-over 146.
- Junior Mitchell Cormier (Walpole, N.H.) duplicated his 75 from the first round and tallied a two-round total of 150.
- Sophomore Stephen Ramos (Danville, N.H.) added eight shots to his opening round and finished at 4-over 148 to tie for 28th.
NOTES
- Sophomore Sam Maurice (Auburn, N.H.) had his 79 dropped from the team score. He totaled a 154 (75/79).
- Sophomore Andrew Surprenant (Boscawen, N.H.), playing as an individual, carded a 75 and tied for 16th with a 1-over 145.
- Senior Sean Dully (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.), also playing as an individual, penciled in a 75 to total up a 149.
- Junior Drew Cameron (Londonderry, N.H.), another Penmen individual, fired a 2-under 70 in the opening round, but shot 82 Saturday for a 152.
- Adelphi University (548) finished 28-under, defeating Bentley University (570) by 22 shots.
- Adelphi's Mitchell Archer took home individual medalist honors with a 9-under 135 (68/67), edging teammate Francis Lanuza by one stroke (68/68).
- Richardson tied for first with a tournament-best 10 birdies.
- The Penmen Season Finale was comprised of 69 golfers from 11 different institutions.

- The Penmen will now turn their attention to the NCAA Atlantic/East Regional in Gainesville, Ga., on May 7-9.
