NORTH ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Freshman Lindy Moreland (Gorham, Maine) was named Northeast 10 Outdoor Track & Field Rookie of the Week, it was announced Tuesday.
The Southern New Hampshire University track & field program competed over the weekend at UMass Lowell's George Davis Invitational. Moreland set a personal best in the 100-meter hurdles, finishing ninth in 16.28 seconds. Her third-place finish in the high jump (1.55 meters) ranks second in the Northeast 10 this outdoor season.
Moreland, the Northeast 10 Indoor Field Rookie of the Year, also earned Rookie of the Week honors once during the indoor season.
SNHU returns to action Saturday at the Wildcat Invitational at the University of New Hampshire.
