Davis Earns Spot on D2 Baseball All-America Third Team

Davis is second All-American from baseball this season

MANCHESTER, N.H. – Junior Jack Davis (LaGrangeville, N.Y.) of the Southern New Hampshire University baseball team collected D2 Baseball All-America Third Team honors Monday.

Davis becomes the 18th All-American in program history, following teammate and classmate Casey Cumiskey (Milltown, N.J.), who was tabbed All-America by both the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) and  Division 2 Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) two weeks ago. Davis is also the fifth Penmen relief pitcher to be named an All-American and first since Trevor Anibal in 2022.

Davis has also received ABCA East All-Region Second Team, D2CCA East All-Region Second Team, National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) East All-Region First Team and NE10 All-Conference First Team accolades this season. In 25 appearances – all out of the bullpen – Davis went 9-3 with a 2.15 ERA, striking out 64 and walking 32 over 62-and-two-thirds innings, while limiting opponents to a .234 batting average. The April 6 NE10 Pitcher of the Week led the region in appearances, while ranking second ERA, fourth in wins, ninth in hits allowed per nne (7.76), 13th in WHIP, 16th in strikeouts per nine (9.19) and 19th in strikeouts. In the SNHU single-season record book, Davis finished tied for first in appearances and fifth in victories.

The Penmen finished 41-14, including 30-6 in the NE10 to win the regular-season title and claim the top seed, before falling in the NE10 finals. SNHU then earned its 13th NCAA tournament berth, receiving the East Region's No. 3 seed, but went 1-2 in the East Regional II pod to fall a game short of the final.
