Inigo Burusco (Pamplona, Spain) of the fourth-ranked Southern New Hampshire University men's soccer team was named the NE10 Player of the Week on Monday, while sophomore
Josh Hancock (Windham, Maine) collected NE10 Goalkeeper of the Week honors, both for the period ending Aug. 30.
Burusco notched three goals during a 1-0-1 week for SNHU. Burusco buried a pair of goals in Thursday's 3-0 season-opening win at St. Thomas Aquinas College, before posting the lone Penmen tally in a 1-1 draw at Queens (N.Y.) College on Saturday.
Hancock stopped all three shots he faced versus the Spartans to register a clean sheet in his first collegiate appearance.
Burusco, Hancock and the Penmen return to action Wednesday (Sept. 2) at 4 p.m. when they play host to Felician University at Ouellette Stadium.
