TEAM RESULTS
WENHAM, Mass. -
Freshman Emma Lundberg (Vinalhaven, ME) finished
just 11 seconds shy of the Southern New Hampshire University
women's cross country five-kilometer school record to lead the
Penmen to a 10th place finish out of 25 schools at the
Pop Crowell Invitational hosted by Gordon College Saturday.
Lundberg finished the 5K course in
a time of 19:59, marking the second fastest time in school history,
only behind Vanessa Picone's 19:48 effort at the 2004 Northeast-10
Championship. Her time placed her 17th out of 276
runners. Classmate Jacquelyn Dussault
(Manchester, NH) finished 22nd with a time of 20:11, the
third fastest time in program history.
Senior Svea
Dellea-Messner (Windham, NH) placed 47th
overall with a time of 20:59, while Melissa Hurley
(Ashaway, RI) was 65th, recording a time of 21:26.
Jennifer Adams (Standish, ME) came in
193rd with a time of 24:57.
Southern New Hampshire returns to
action next Saturday when it competes at the New England
Championships held at Franklin Park in Boston.
