WENHAM, Mass. - Freshman Emma Lundberg (Vinalhaven, ME) finished just 11 seconds shy of the Southern New Hampshire University women's cross country five-kilometer school record to lead the Penmen to a 10th place finish out of 25 schools at the Pop Crowell Invitational hosted by Gordon College Saturday.

Lundberg finished the 5K course in a time of 19:59, marking the second fastest time in school history, only behind Vanessa Picone's 19:48 effort at the 2004 Northeast-10 Championship.  Her time placed her 17th out of 276 runners.  Classmate Jacquelyn Dussault (Manchester, NH) finished 22nd with a time of 20:11, the third fastest time in program history.

Senior Svea Dellea-Messner (Windham, NH) placed 47th overall with a time of 20:59, while Melissa Hurley (Ashaway, RI) was 65th, recording a time of 21:26.  Jennifer Adams (Standish, ME) came in 193rd with a time of 24:57.

Southern New Hampshire returns to action next Saturday when it competes at the New England Championships held at Franklin Park in Boston.
