BOX SCORE

MANCHESTER, N.H. - Visiting Assumption College scored four times in the top of the ninth inning to break a 2-2 tie and post a 6-2 Northeast-10 baseball victory over Southern New Hampshire University Wednesday afternoon in the home opener for the Penmen.  The Greyhounds improved to 11-15 overall and 4-8 in NE-10 play, while the Penmen are 4-19 and 2-11 in the league.

Shawn Frigon delivered the big hit for the Greyhounds as his double to left center brought in Jeff Barbale and Derek Migrants and gave Assumption a 4-2 lead.  Frigon would later score on a passed ball and Mike Baillargeon would score after being hit by a pitch and scoring when Matt Jose reached on an error.

Southern New Hampshire took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the second when Chris O'Neil (Chelmsford, MA) belted a solo home run to center field.  The Greyhounds would score twice in the top of the third when Baillargeon doubled to score Frigon and later scored on a single by Jose.  The Penmen would tie the score in the bottom of the inning when a Bill Murray (Canton, MA) single to left center plated Eric Pelletier (Beverly, MA).

Michael Colebrook upped his record to 5-1 on the season for Assumption, scattering six hits while fanning six.  Greg Lyons (Canton, MA) allowed eight hits in 8 2/3 innings of work for SNHU, striking out five.
