BOSTON - The
Southern New Hampshire University women's cross country team
finished 39th out of 49 competing schools at the New
England Cross Country Championship held Saturday at Boston's
Franklin Park.
Sophomore Emma
Lundberg (Hebron, N.H.) was the top Penmen finisher,
posting a time of 20:27 over the 5K course to place
192nd out of 327 finishers. Junior Melissa
Hurley (Ashaway, R.I.) posted a time of 20:37, while
freshman Christina Montefusco (Danvers, Mass.)
registered a collegiate-best 20:51.
Jacquelyn Dussault
(Manchester, N.H.) traversed the course in 20:56, while
Laura Durvin (North Scituate, R.I.) posted a time
of 24:48.
The SNHU women's cross country team
returns to action Sunday, October 25, when it competes at the
Northeast-10 Championship at Saint Michael's College.
