Franklin Pierce, which never led, trailed 10-6 at halftime, but scored four of the first five goals of the second half and back-to-back goals by Mary Kate Stille at 25:11 and 23:50 reduced the Penmen advantage to one, 11-10.  It would remain a one-goal game until Darrell scored at 15:27, and Halbich would make it 13-10 13 seconds later.  The Penmen would make it 16-10 with 7:43 left on Murphy's goal, and closed out the game with four unanswered goals in the final 2:28.

The Ravens would cut the SNHU lead to one three times in the first half, but the Penmen would outscore Franklin Pierce 5-2 over the final 10:55 of the first half, and a Murphy goal 1:43 before intermission put the hosts on top 10-6 at the break.

Hannah Moriarty (Chelmsford, Mass.) made 18 saves en route to the win for Southern New Hampshire, as the Penmen outshot the Ravens 44-33.  Jillian Bolduc made 14 stops for Franklin Pierce.
