NORTHEAST-10 RELEASE
SOUTH EASTON,
Mass. – Southern New Hampshire University junior
women's cross country runner Emma Lundberg
(Hebron, N.H.) was named the Northeast-10 Athlete of the Week, it
was announced by the conference office Wednesday afternoon.
It marks the second straight week Lundberg has won the award.
At Saturday's UMass Dartmouth
Invitational, Lundberg finished sixth out of 290 competitors with a
school record time of 18:16 for five kilometers. She bested
her own school record of 19:03 established last season and now owns
the top five 5K times in program history. As a team, the
Penmen finished 14th out of 39 schools.
SNHU, which Tuesday received its
second-ever regional ranking, checking in at No. 9 in the USTFCCCA
Division II East Region poll, returns to action Saturday at the
Codfish Bown at Franklin Park in Boston.
