WESTFIELD, Mass.—Madeline Hayes (Newington, Conn.)
clocked a person-best of 19:24.72 to lead the Southern New
Hampshire University women's cross country team to a
13th place finish at the Northeast-10 Conference
Championship at Stanley Park on the campus of Westfield State
University on Sunday morning. The Penmen posted an average
time of 21:33.64 in the five-kilometer race.
Hayes' time was good for an overall finish of
50th out of 167 Northeast-10 racers.
Melissa Statcom (Massapequa, N.Y.) and
Kelsey Parker (Tewksbury, Mass.) rounded out the
top-three for the Penmen with times of 20:35.62 and 20:44.33,
respectively.
Jacquelyn Dussault (Manchester, N.H.) clocked
in at 22:12.41, followed by Laura DiPietro
(Auburn, N.H.) at 24:51.12 and Sarah Kennedy
(Appleton, Maine) at 25:30.19.
Southern New Hampshire returns to action on Sunday, November 6
when it competes at the NCAA East Regional at Franklin Park in
Boston. Race time is slated for 2:30 p.m.
