Women's Cross Country Finishes 39th at New England Championships

BOSTON - The Southern New Hampshire University women's cross country team finished 39th overall at the New England Championship held Saturday at Franklin Park.

 

Sophomore Madeline Hayes (Newington, Conn.) was SNHU's top finisher, coming in 188th with a time of 20:47 for the course. Kelsey Parker (Tewksbury, Mass.) finished 243rd with a 22:11 effort, while Melissa Stacom (Massapequa, N.Y.) finished one spot and one second behind Parker with a 22:12 time. 

 

Christina Powell (Granby, Mass.) finished the course in 22:55. Jacquelyn Dussault posted a time of 23:57, while Laura DiPietro (Auburn, N.H.) rounded out the Penmen finishers with a time of 28:04.

 

The SNHU women's cross country team returns to action October 23 when it competes at the Northeast-10 Championship hosted by Westfield State University. The race is set to begin at 11:00 a.m.
