NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Junior Jade Antonangeli (Bourne, Mass.) totaled six goals and an assist to lead Southern New Hampshire University to a 23-4 Northeast-10 women's lacrosse victory over Southern Connecticut State University at Jess Dow Field Saturday.  The Penmen improved to 3-2 and 1-0 in the NE-10, while the Owls are 0-3 and 0-1 in the league.

Freshman Ellie Morin (Scarborough, Maine) registered three goals and a pair of assists for Southern New Hampshire, which got three goals and an assist from classmate Phoebe Clark (Concord, N.H.) and three goals from freshman Ashley Chu (Framingham, Mass.).  Emily Mongeau (Westborough, Mass) and Justine Clark (Oceanside, N.Y.) each totaled two goals and three assists, while Jenna Crupi (Albany, N.Y.), Kelly Curran (Arlington, Mass.), Kayleigh Dube (Bourne, Mass.) and Lauryn Wheeler (Bow, N.H.) all added single tallies.

For Mongeau, it was her 100th career goal, becoming the fifth player in program history to reach the milestone.

Jessica Shaw had three of SCSU's four goals, while Sarah Clark had the other Owl tally.

The two teams traded the first two goals of the game before the guests ran off 10 straight goals to build an 11-1 lead with 10:26 to go in the first half on a Morin goal.  Shaw would break the string with an unassisted goal 9:22 before intermission, but the Penmen scored the last three goals of the frame to build a 14-2 halftime lead.  SNHU scored the first five goals of the second half to open up a 19-2 advantage with just under 21 minutes to play.

Hannah Moriarty (Chelmsford, Mass.) played the first 48:49 in goal for the Penmen and allowed three goals while making three saves.  Shayla Walden (Warren, R.I.) made a pair of stops the rest of the way.  Southern Connecticut keeper Colleen Gore made 16 saves as Southern New Hampshire outshot the Owls 52-12.

Southern New Hampshire returns to action next Saturday when it hosts Assumption College in a 1:00 contest at Larkin Field.
