Box Score SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Jade Antonangeli (Bourne, Mass.) totaled four goals as Southern New Hampshire University jumped out to a 15-2 halftime lead and cruised to an 18-8 Northeast-10 women's lacrosse victory over American International College at Abdow Field Friday night. The Penmen improved to 8-6 and 6-4 in the NE-10, while the Yellow Jackets are now 4-10 and 1-9 in the league.
Emily Mongeau (Westborough, Mass.) totaled three goals and three assists while Phoebe Clark (Concord, N.H.) registered two goals and a pair of assists. Justine Clark (Oceanside, N.Y.) finished with two goals and an assist while Ashley Chu (Framingham, Mass.) added a pair of goals. Ellie Morin (Scarborough, Maine), Jenna Crupi (Albany, N.Y.) and Erica Silk (Wilbraham, Mass.) each added single goals.
Ashleigh Szawlowski led American International with two goals and a pair of assists.
Phoebe Clark got SNHU on the board just 15 seconds in, but Courtney Szawlowski would tie the game 46 second later for the Yellow Jackets. The Penmen reeled off six unanswered goals to take a 7-1 lead 13:10 before intermission. AIC would score with just over 11 minutes left to make it 7-2, but the Penmen scored the final eight goals of the first half to build a 15-2 lead.
Hannah Moriarty (Chelmsford, Mass.) started in goal for SNHU and made two saves before giving way to Shayla Walden (Bristol, R.I.), who made six saves the rest of the way. The Penmen outshot AiC 34-16.
Southern New Hampshire returns to action Tuesday when it travels to Saint Michael's College.
