Box Score GARDEN CITY, N.Y.—The Southern New Hampshire University men's lacrosse team dropped a Northeast-10 Conference loss to No. 6 Adelphi University by a score of 12-6 on Saturday morning in Garden City. With the loss, the Penmen fall to 4-8 overall and 3-6 in NE-10 play, while the win boosts the Panthers to 11-2 overall and 7-1 in league play.
Greg Reynolds (Scituate, Mass.) led the Penmen in scoring with two goals and an assist, while Keith Merluzzo (Billerica, Mass.) added two goals and while James Sabino (Danvers, Mass.) added a goal and an assist.
Joe Vitale scored seven goals for the Panthers including five in the first half. Tommy Susko added two goals, while Keiran Riegel, Micahel Rossi and Ken Fundus added single goals.
Brendan O'Brien (Hopkinton, Mass.) took the loss in net for the Penmen, posting 16 saves in the complete-game effort. Eric Janssen earned the win and posted six saves in 45:10 minutes of play before giving way to Adian Bennardo, who recorded five saves.
Southern New Hampshire returns to action next Saturday in the final regular season game of the season, hosting No. 2 Le Moyne College at 4:00 p.m. at Larkin Field.
