Box Score SYRACUSE, N.Y. –Brenna Bauer totaled three goals and an assist to lead third-ranked Le Moyne College to a 17-4 win over Southern New Hampshire University in Northeast-10 women's lacrosse Saturday afternoon at Niland Athletic Complex. The Dolphins, who are in their first season in Division II after previously competing as a Division I independent, are now 9-1 and 5-1 in the NE-10, while the Penmen are 5-4 and 3-2 in the league.
Rebekah Elmer totaled three goals for Le Moyne, which also got two goals and an assist each from Michelle Phillips and Kelly Condon. Brittany Brigandi added a pair of goals for the Dolphins.
Emily Mongeau (Westborough, Mass.) and Phoebe Clark (Concord, N.H.) led Southern New Hampshire with a goal and an assist apiece. Jade Antonangeli (Bourne, Mass.) and Ellie Morin (Scarborough, Maine) recorded the other Penmen tallies.
SNHU was within one, 3-2, just over six minutes into the game following a goal by Antonangeli. Le Moyne scored the game's next six goals and a Bauer tally 5:34 before intermission made it 9-2. Clark stopped the hosts' run with a tally at the 3:27 mark, but Le Moyne scored the final two goals of the half to take an 11-3 lead into halftime. The Dolphins scored the first five goals of the second half to salt the game away.
Kelly Fucillo made five saves for Le Moyne, while Penmen goalie Hannah Moriarty (Chelmsford, Mass.) made eight stops. The Dolphins outshot Southern New Hampshire 31-16.
Southern New Hampshire returns to action Tuesday evening when it travels to Franklin Pierce University for a 6:00 contest.
