NASHUA, N.H. – Junior Maddie
Hayes (Newington, Conn.) earned USTFCCCA All-Region honors
as the Southern New Hampshire University women's cross
country team placed 13th out of 27 teams Sunday at the
NCAA Regionals at Mines Falls Park.
Hayes placed 19th overall with a 6K time of 22:30, with the top
25 runners at the meet garnering All-Region accolades. It
marks the third straight year the Penmen have had a runner place on
the All-Region team, as Emma Lundberg earned the distinction in
each of the previous two seasons.
Christina Montefusco (Danvers, Mass.) crossed
the finish line at 24:01, coming in 64th place, and
Stacey Wojcik (Wrentham, Mass.) placed
70th with a 24:09 time.
