Box Score BROOKVILLE, N.Y. – No. 3 C.W. Post jumped out to a 13-0 halftime lead en route to a 23-3 women's lacrosse victory over Southern New Hampshire University at Hickox Field Sunday afternoon. The Pioneers improved to 2-0, while the Penmen are now 0-2.
Jackie Sileo led C.W. Post with a goal and 11 assists, with her 11 helpers one shy of the NCAA Division II single-game record of 12. Abbie Ross finished with five goals, while Ashley Olen added four goals.
Emily Mongeau (Westborough, Mass.) led the Penmen with two goals, while Jade Antonangeli (Bourne, Mass.) added Southern New Hampshire's other tally.
The hosts jumped out to a 13-0 halftime lead and scored the first two goals of the second half before Mongeau got SNHU on the board with 24:38 remaining.
Dominique Mosca and Katie Hannan combined to make 11 saves in goal for C.W. Post, while Penmen goalie Kellie Renk (Kennebunk, Maine) made six saves. The Pioneers outshot Southern New Hampshire 34-18.
SNHU faces its third nationally-ranked opponent to start the season Thursday when it entertains No. 2 Adelphi University in a 4:00 contest in the home and Northeast-10 opener.
