MANCHESTER, N.H. - Erica Devito totaled seven goals and four assists to lead second-ranked Adelphi University to a 23-12 Northeast-10 women's lacrosse victory over Southern New Hampshire University Thursday afternoon at Larkin Field.  The Panthers improved to 4-0 and 1-0 in the NE-10, extending their winning streak to 30 games dating back to the 2010 season.  The Penmen, who were playing in their home opener, are now 0-3 and 0-1 in league play.  All three SNHU losses have come to nationally-ranked opponents.

Sara Sangiorgio added five goals and a pair of assists for Adelphi, which also got four goals and an assist from Meg Brown and four goals from Devan Crimi.

Emily Mongeau (Westborough, Mass.) (pictured) and Phoebe Clark (Concord, N.H.) led Southern New Hampshire with three goals and an assist apiece while Ellie Morin (Scarborough, Maine) tallied three goals.  Sara Halbich (Salem, N.H.), Jade Antonangeli (Bourne, Mass.) and Justine Clark (Oceanside, N.Y.) all recorded single tallies.

The guests jumped out to an early 4-1 lead before three unanswered Penmen goals capped by a Morin tally 8:02 into the game made it 4-4.  Adelphi then reeled off five goals in a row with Devito's tally at the 13:06 mark giving the Panthers a 9-4 lead.  Phoebe Clark snapped the string with her free-position goal at the 9:25 mark, and Halbich's goal 42 seconds before intermission made it 12-7 in favor of Adelphi at the break.

AU scored the first four goals of the second half to build a 16-7 lead before Justine Clark scored at the 22:47 mark.  The Panthers maintained at least an eight-goal advantage the rest of the way.

Jordann Dempsey made three saves and allowed eight goals in 37:24 of action in goal for Adelphi before giving way to Jennifer Rojas, who did not record a save the rest of the way.  Kellie Renk (Kennebunk, Maine) went the distance in goal for Southern New Hampshire and made 12 saves.  The Panthers outshot the Penmen 45-21 and also generated a 20-17 edge in draw controls.

Southern New Hampshire returns to action on Saturday when it hosts Southern Connecticut State University in a 1:00 Northeast-10 contest.
