GAFFNEY, S.C. – Racquel Prager totaled four goals and two assists to lead sixth-ranked Limestone College to a 17-6 women's lacrosse victory over Southern New Hampshire University Thursday afternoon at Saints Field.  The Saints improved to 5-1 with the victory, while the game marked the season opener for the Penmen.

Prager led eight Saints that reached the scoring column.  Sylvia Queener finished with three goals and four assists, while Sarah Oor added two goals and four assists.

Sophomore Justine Clark (Oceanside, N.Y.) and freshman Emily King (Florence, Mass.) (pictured) led the Penmen with two goals apiece, while Emily Mongeau (Westborough, Mass.) tallied a goal and an assist.  Phoebe Clark (Concord, N.H.) had the other SNHU score.

Mongeau gave Southern New Hampshire a 1-0 lead 1:32 into the game before Limestone scored five unanswered goals.  Justine Clark scored her first goal 14:16 before halftime to make it a 5-2 game, but the Saints reeled off seven of the final eight goals of the first half to build a 12-3 lead at the break.  The hosts scored the first four goals of the second half before King scored with 14:13 left.

Limestone outshot Southern New Hampshire 30-21.  Bridgid Milchling played the first 39:15 in goal for Limestone and made seven saves before giving way to Rashelle McLellan for the final 20:45.  McLellan made a pair of stops.  Kellie Renk (Kennebunk, Maine) turned aside six shots for Southern New Hampshire.

SNHU faces its second straight nationally-ranked opponent on Sunday when it travels to C.W. Post for a noon contest.
