KISSIMMEE, Fla. – 24th-ranked Grand Valley State University registered an 8-1 women's tennis victory over No. 45 Southern New Hampshire University Friday morning at Oak Street Park. The Lakers improved to 20-7 overall with the victory, while the Penmen are now 7-4 overall.
The No. 1 doubles team of Alena Mukdaprakorn (Hartford, Conn.) and Amanda Albuquerque (Weymouth, Mass.) earned SNHU's point, posting an 8-4 victory. In singles action, Mukdaprakorn and Diana Vamvakitis (Wading River, N.Y.) each fell in three sets.
Southern New Hampshire is idle until March 17 when it entertains Chestnut Hill College in a 3:00 match.
