EASTON, Mass. – Kayla Green scored six times to lead seventh-ranked Stonehill College to a 26-10 Northeast-10 women's lacrosse victory over Southern New Hampshire University Wednesday afternoon at W.B. Mason Stadium.  The Skyhawks improved to 11-2 and 9-1 in the NE-10, while the Penmen now stand 3-10 and 2-8 in the league.

Samantha Lynott finished with five goals and three assists, while Heather Sullivan added five goals and an assist for Stonehill.  Ellie Morin (Scarborough, Maine) led Southern New Hampshire with six goals and a pair of assists, while Emily Mongeau (Westborough, Mass.) totaled a goal and three assists.  Sara Halbich (Salem, N.H.), Kayleigh Dube (Bourne, Mass.) and Phoebe Clark (Concord, N.H.) each added single tallies for the Penmen.

SNHU led 3-2 five minutes into the first half when Stonehill reeled off three unanswered goals, with Sullivan making it 5-3 at the 18:23 mark.  The Penmen responded with three straight of their own, and Clark's tally at the 15:26 mark put the guests on top 6-5.  Stonehill scored the next two goals, but the Penmen would tie the game twice, the last with 8:15 left before intermission making it 9-9 on Morin's free position goal.  The Skyhawks closed out the frame with five straight goals to take a 14-9 lead into halftime.

The second half was all Stonehill as it outscored Southern New Hampshire 12-1.  The Skyhawks scored the first four goals of the frame before Morin had SNHU's lone second half tally with 19:29 remaining.

Skyhawk goalie Ashley Armstrong made 10 saves en route to the victory, while SNHU goalie Kellie Renk (Kennebunk, Maine) had 15 saves as Stonehill outshot the Penmen 53-23.

Southern New Hampshire returns to action Saturday afternoon when it hosts American International College for a 1:00 Northeast-10 contest.
