Box Score RINDGE, N.H. – A home run by Nate Reynolds to lead off the bottom of the ninth inning lifted Le Moyne College to a 2-1 walk-off win over seventh-ranked Southern New Hampshire University in Northeast-10 baseball action Sunday morning at Pappas Field. The Dolphins improve to 7-11 and 1-1 in the NE-10, while the Penmen, who saw an eight-game win streak snapped, are now 16-4 and 2-1 in the league.
Southern New Hampshire grabbed its lone run in the top of the third. Andy Lalli (Lakeville, Mass.) walked to lead off the inning and moved to second on a balk and third on a flyout by Zach Goldstein (Merrick, N.Y.). Andrew Pezzuto (Hastings-on-Hudson, N.Y.) singled to bring in Lalli.
Le Moyne tied the game in the fourth when a Kody O'Connor single plated Pat Weise. Reynolds ended the game in the ninth when he sent a 2-2 pitch to left.
Pezzuto had two of SNHU's four hits on the day. Jon Massad (Shrewsbury, Mass.) was the hard-luck loser for the Penmen on the mound, striking out nine with no walks and scattering seven hits in his eight-plus innings of work. Le Moyne's Ryan Davis upped his record to 3-1, striking out 12 in his complete-game effort.
Southern New Hampshire is slated to return to action Tuesday at home against Saint Anselm College.
