Panthers Too Much for Penmen

GARDEN CITY, N.Y. – The Southern New Hampshire men's lacrosse team fell to Adelphi University by a score of 12-3 on Saturday afternoon in Northeast-10 Conference action. The Penmen are now 2-6 overall and 2-2 in the league, while the Panthers remain unbeaten at 6-0 and 4-0 in conference play.

The Panthers would score seven unanswered goals in the first half powered by Nick Watson would who would score three to take a 7-0 lead into halftime over SNHU.

The Penmen would find an answer in the third frame, after the Panthers took an 8-0 lead, when Cameron Joyce (Braintree, Mass.) would score his first goal of the game from Phil LaTorre (Londonderry, N.H.) halfway through the quarter to put SNHU on the board.

Joyce would score once again in the final quarter along with Ryan Woodford (Scituate, Mass.), who recorded his first goal of the season unassisted.  

Morgan Weireter (Oak Park, Calif.) recorded 15 saves in net for the Penmen while Eric Janssen would save eight shots for the Panthers.

The Penmen return to action on Wednesday, April 3 when they travel to Saint Anselm for a 7:00 p.m. conference game.
