BOSTON, Mass. – The Southern New
Hampshire women's cross country team placed 6th
out of 11 teams at the annual Codfish Bowl at Franklin Park on
Saturday afternoon.
Maddie Hayes (Newington, Conn.) finished first
for the Penmen while placing 16th, and completing the 5k
in 20:0. Stacey Wojcik (Wrentham, Mass.) and
Laura O'Hanlon (Dedham, Mass.) placed
27th and 29th with times of 20:35, and 20:40,
respectively.
Abigail MacBeth (Cumberland, R.I.) crossed the
finish line just 48 seconds after O'Hanlon placing
34th with a time of 20:48, and Tesia
Stanasek (Blackstone, Mass.) rounded out the top five for
SNHU with a time of 21:16, placing 49th.
The Penmen return to action Saturday, October 12 when they
travel to Westfield State University for the James Earley
Invitational.
