NORTHHAMPTON, Mass. - The Southern New
Hampshire women's cross country team placed ninth out of 18 teams
in its opening meet at the Smith Invitational Saturday
afternoon.
The Penmen were led by senior
Maddie Hayes
(Newington, Conn.) who placed 36th and finished the 5k in a time of
21:02. Not far behind Hayes was freshman
Laura
O'Hanlon (Dedham, Mass.) who crossed the finish line at
21:48 in her debut as a Penmen.
Melissa Stacom
(Massapequa, N.Y.) and
Tesia Stanasek (Blackstone,
Mass.) followed with times of 22:18 and 22:29,
respectively.
Southern New Hampshire returns to action September
21 at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational.
