MANCHESTER, N.H. - Southern New Hampshire University recorded an 8-1 Northeast-10 women's tennis victory over The College of Saint Rose Friday afternoon. The Penmen won their seventh straight match to improve to 8-1 overall and in NE-10 play, while the Golden Knights wrap up the fall 3-12 and 2-10 in the league.
The Penmen dropped just two games, both at No. 3, as it swept doubles play, then dropped four games as it swept the top five singles flights. Diana Vamvakitis (Wading River, N.Y.), Sarah Schöllgen (Meerbusch, Germany) and Jamie Hann (Westhampton, N.Y.) were all straight set winners in singles action.
Southern New Hampshire returns to action Saturday morning when it hosts Le Moyne College in an 11:00 am contest.
