CAPITAL ONE DIVISION II AT-LARGE ACADEMIC ALL-AMERICA TEAMS
MANCHESTER, N.H. – Recently-graduated Southern New Hampshire University senior Phoebe Clark (Concord, N.H.), a member of the Penmen women's lacrosse and golf teams, was named to the Capital One Academic All-America At-Large Team as a Third Team selection, it was announced on Wednesday.
The Capital One Academic All-America Division II Women's At-Large program includes the sports of bowling, crew, fencing, field hockey, golf, gymnastics, ice hockey, lacrosse, rifle, skiing, swimming and diving, tennis and water polo.
Clark is the fourth SNHU women's lacrosse player to be named to the Capital One Academic All-America At-Large team in just 11 seasons of Penmen women's lacrosse. Julie Kraus was named to the team in 2008 and 2009, including a First Team selection in 2009. Libby Parent joined Kraus in 2009 as a Third Team selection, while Emily Mongeau was a First Team choice in 2012.
A total of 15 Southern New Hampshire student-athletes have been named Capital One Academic All-Americans, accounting for 18 total selections. The Capital One Academic All-America and All-District teams are selected by members of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
Clark, a Business Administration major, was a four-year standout for the Penmen women's lacrosse program, and was also a member of the first-year SNHU women's golf team in 2013-14. In 2014 she earned Northeast-10 Second Team All-Conference honors after totaling 28 goals and 11 assists for the Penmen while serving as a team captain. The NE-10 Rookie of the Year in 2011, Clark wrapped up her career with 117 goals and 35 assists for 152 points, placing her seventh in career goals, eighth in career points, and just outside the top 10 in career assists. She also ranks seventh in program history in draw controls with 107.
