Women's Tennis Opens September 6 at Siena Tournament

2014 SNHU WOMEN'S TENNIS FALL SCHEDULE

MANCHESTER, N.H. – The Southern New Hampshire University women's tennis team opens its 2014-15 schedule the weekend of September 6-7 as it travels to Loudonville, N.Y. to compete in the Siena Tournament.  The Penmen will compete in 13 dual matches and a pair of tournaments in the fall, as the Northeast-10 has moved its women's tennis championship to the fall beginning this year.

After opening at Siena, Southern New Hampshire opens league play the weekend of September 13-14 with road dates at Saint Anselm College and defending league champion Merrimack College.  The Penmen home opener is set for Tuesday, September 16 against Stonehill College.  SNHU's only other home date in September is on the 21st as the Penmen welcome Post University for a non-league date.  The Penmen will also compete at the annual ITA East Regional at Queens (N.Y.) College September 27-29.

Five of Southern New Hampshire's six scheduled October matches are home, beginning Saturday, October 4 against the University of New Haven.  The fall regular season concludes on Sunday, October 12 against Bentley University.

The six-team Northeast-10 Women's Tennis Championship kicks off on Tuesday, October 21 with a pair of first round matches.  The semifinals are set for Friday, October 24, with the championship final slated for Sunday, October 26.  High seeds will host throughout the championship.

Southern New Hampshire returns five players from last season, a season in which it finished 13-8 and reached the Northeast-10 semifinals for the seventh straight season.
