Box Score MANCHESTER, N.H. – No. 6 University of New Haven jumped out to a 10-4 halftime lead and went on to post an 18-11 Northeast-10 women's lacrosse victory over Southern New Hampshire University Wednesday night at Larkin Field. The Chargers upped their record to 6-1 and 3-1 in the NE-10, while the Penmen are now 1-4 and 0-4 in the league.
New Haven was led by Courtney Ackland, who finished with six goals and an assist. Kathryn Campbell notched three goals and three assists, while Maya Szymanski and Caitlin O'Brien each finished with three goals on the evening.
Southern New Hampshire was paced by Emily King (Florence, Mass.), who scored four times, while Casey Duggan (Framingham, Mass.) finished with two goals and an assist. Ellen Decker (Foxboro, Mass.) and Kennedy Daziel (East Hampstead, N.H.) each scored twice, while Lindsay Bucknam (Bow, N.H.) added a goal and an assist.
New Haven generated a 33-26 shot advantage on the evening as sophomore Nicole Kennedy (Windham, Maine) made eight saves in goal for Southern New Hampshire.
SNHU returns to action Saturday when it travels to American International College for a 1:00 Northeast-10 contest.
