PERFECT GAME SUMMER COLLEGIATE ALL-AMERICA TEAM
MANCHESTER, N.H. – Senior Ryan Gendron (Nashua, N.H.) of the Southern New Hampshire University baseball team was named to the Perfect Game Summer All-America Team as a First Team selection after starring for the Seacoast Mavericks of the Futures Collegiate Baseball League (FCBL) this summer.
Gendron, an outfielder, had a record-breaking season for the Mavericks this summer. The Futures League Most Valuable Player, Gendron batted .324 with 22 home runs and 53 runs batted in while slugging .758 and recording a .458 on-base percentage. He established single-season league records for home runs, RBI, slugging percentage and OPS (1.216). Gendron was also a three-time FCBL Player of the Week and participated in the league's All-Star Game as well as the Home Run Derby July 21 at Fraser Field in Lynn, Mass.
One of two players to start all 45 games for the Penmen this spring, Gendron batted .241 with four home runs and 21 runs batted in. He registered a team-high 19 stolen bases and walked 34 times on the season to post a .407 on-base percentage.
