Nour Kaddour (Paris, France) and Ashley Loft (Leysin, Switzerland) of the Southern New Hampshire University women's tennis team advanced to the championship match of the ITA East Regional A doubles draw Monday, but fell in the final.
In the final, a three-set match, Kaddour and Loft dropped a 6-2, 6-3 decision to Justyna Krol and Alessia Rossetti of NYIT. Krol and Rossetti advance to next month's ITA Small College Championships.
In the first match on Monday, against another duo from NYIT, Paulina Velasquez and Alexandra Borgenhoff, Kaddour and Loft recorded an 8-5 win to move into the final.
Notes:
- Kaddour and Loft are the first ITA regional final participant for SNHU since current Penmen assistant coach Amber (Chandronnait) Robins won three straight A draw singles titles from 2008-10. Also in 2010, Catalina Echeverry and Kara Pease fell in the B doubles final.

Southern New Hampshire resumes Northeast-10 play Saturday when it hosts Franklin Pierce University at 1:00.
