NEILA ALL-NEW ENGLAND TEAMS
NEWTON, Mass. – Senior attackman Cameron Joyce (Braintree, Mass.) of the Southern New Hampshire University men's lacrosse team was selected to the 2016 Division II New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (NEILA) All-New England Preseason Team, which was announced late Monday.
The team is comprised of three attackmen, three midfielders, three defenders, one goalkeeper, one long stick midfielder, one short stick midfielder and one faceoff specialist. The voting was completed by the NEILA Division II head coaches.
Joyce garnered preseason All-New England accolades for the third consecutive season. As a junior, he led the Penmen in goals (28), assists (17), points (45) and man-up goals (6). Joyce also ripped a team-high 118 shots, raked in 40 groundballs and caused 10 turnovers a season ago. A 2015 All-Northeast-10 Conference selection, Joyce has 117 points in his career on 85 goals and 32 assists, which is good for No. 19 in program history.
Southern New Hampshire opens its 2016 campaign with a Northeast-10 tilt on Saturday, March 5 against Merrimack College at 4 p.m. on Larkin Field.
